Elvis Presley

Entre seus sucessos musicais podemos destacar, "Hound Dog", "Don't Be Cruel", "Love me Tender", "All Shook up", "Teddy Bear", "Jailhouse Rock", "It's Now or Never", "Can´t Help Falling in Love", "Surrender", "Crying In The Chapel", "In The Ghetto", "Suspicious Minds", "Don't Cry Daddy", "The Wonder of You", "Burning Love", "My Boy" e "Moody Blue".

Especificamente na Europa, canções como "Wooden Heart", "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me", "My Boy" e "Moody Blue", foram também marcantes.

Particularmente no Brasil, foram bem-sucedidas as canções "Kiss me Quick", "Bossa Nova Baby", "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "Sylvia" e "My Boy", dentre outras que também marcaram época.

Após sua morte, novos sucessos advieram como "Way Down" (logo após seu falecimento), "Always On My Mind", "Guitar Man", "A Little Less Conversation" e "Rubberneckin".

Loneliness is darkness' first companion
Spend the night alone and faith may bend
Share it all and see how fear starts fading
Chase away the shadows with a friend
Dawn's elusive light is just beginning
Now the day can push away the night
Dreams can make the sun feel much brighter
Hope creates a foothold for the light
It's a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
It's a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
Girl, we can make the morning you and I, Oh
Together
It's a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
It's a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
It's a long, long lonely night

If I could hear her heart softly pounding
G A D
If only she was lying by me
G A D
Then I'd lie in my bed once again

I can't see my reflection in the water
I can't speak the sounds that show no pain
I can't hear the echo of my footsteps
I can't remember the sound of my own name
Yes and only if my own true love was waiting
If I could hear her heart softly pounding
If only she was lying by me
Then I'd lie in my bed once again
There's beauty in the silver singing river
There's beauty in the sunrise in the sky
But none of these and nothing else
could match the beauty
That I remember in my true love's eyes
Yes and only if my own true love was waiting
If I could hear her heart softly pounding
If only she was lying by me
Then I'd lie in my bed once again
If today was not an endless highway
If tonight was not an endless trail
If tomorrow wasn't such a long time
Then lonesome would mean nothing to me at all
Yes and only if my own true love was waiting
If I could hear her heart softly pounding
If only she was lying by me
Then I'd lie in my bed once again

Versão:
Sonhar o sonho impossível
Combater o inimigo imbatível
Suportar Uma dor insuportável
Ir onde os corajosos
não se atrevem a ir
Corrigir o incorrigível erro

Amar pura e
modestamente ao longe
Tentar quando seus braços
estiverem exaustos
Alcançar a inalcançável estrela

Esta é minha busca
seguir esta estrela
Não importa quão sem esperança
Não importa quão distante

Lutar pelo direito
sem perguntas ou descanso
Estar disposto a marchar
Para o inferno por uma causa divina
E eu sei, se somente for sincero
Para esta gloriosa busca
Que meu coração
descansará em paz e calmamente

quando estiver deitado
para o meu descanso
e o mundo
será melhor para tudo
que um homem desprezado
e coberto de cicatrizes

ainda luta com seu
último resto de coragem
para alcançar
a inalcançável estrela

minha Silvia
Mas quando estou com ela Senhor,
Eu a perdôo
Sinto-me tão triste agora
Eu ficaria tão feliz agora
Se eu tivesse minha Silvia comigo
Aquele velho chorão
Parece sussurrar o nome dela
Eu a perdôo.
Sinto-me tão triste agora,
Eu ficaria tão feliz agora
Se eu tivesse minha Silvia comigo.

Sweet Caroline

Elvis Presley
B E
Where it began, I can't begin to know when
B F#
But then I know it's growing strong
B E
Oh, wasn't the spring, whooo
E
And spring became the summer
B F#
Who'd believe you'd come along

B G#m F#
Hands, touching hands, reaching out
E F#
Touching me, touching you
B E
Oh, sweet Caroline
F#
Good times never seem so good
B E F#
Oh, I made him climb to believe it never would,
and now I,

B
I look at the night, whooo
E
And it don't seem so lonely
B F#
We fill it up with only two, oh
B
And when I hurt
E
Hurting runs off my shoulder
B F#
How can I hurt when holding you

B G#m F#
Oh, one, touching one, reaching out
E F#
Touching me, touching you
B E
Oh, sweet Caroline
F#
Good times never seem so good
B E F#
Oh, I made him climb to believe it never would
B E F#
Oh, sweet Caroline, good times never seem so good
B E F#
Oh, I made him climb to believe it never

verse 2.
So, if an old friend I know
Drops by to say hello
Would I still see suspicion in your eyes?
Here we go again
Asking where I've been
You can't see these tears are real
I'm crying
We can't go on together
With suspicious minds
And be can't build our dreams
On suspicious minds
Em Bm C
Oh let our love survive

Such a Night

Elvis Presley
    E
It was a night oo-oo what a night
B7
It really was such a night
B7
The moon was bright oh how so bright
E
It really was such a night
E B7
The night was alight with stars above
B7
Oo-oo when she kissed me
E
I had to fall in love

Oh it was a kiss oo-oo what a kiss
It really was such a kiss
Oh how she could kiss oh what a kiss
It really was such a kiss
Just the thought of her lips
Sets me afire
I reminisce and IÕm filled with desire
E B7
But I´d gave my heart to her in sweet surrender
E (Tacet)
How well I remember, I´ll always remember

Oh, what a night oo-oo what a night
It really was such a night
Came the dawn and my heart and her love
And the night was gone
But IÕll never forget the kiss
The kiss in the moonlight
Oo-oo such a kiss, such a night

It was a night oo-oo what a night
It really was such a night
Came the dawn and my heart and her love
And the night was gone
But I´ll never forget the kiss
The kiss in the moonlight
How well I remember, I´ll always remember

That night oo-oo what a night
It really was such a night
When we kissed I had to fall in love
But I´d gave my heart to her in sweet surrender
How well I remember, I´ll always remember

Oh that night oo-oo what a night
It really was such a night
When we kissed I had to fall in love
Well she's gone, gone, gone
Yes she's gone, gone, gone
Came the dawn, dawn, dawn
And my love was gone
But before that dawn
Yes before that dawn and before that dawn
Oo-oo, oo-oo, oo-oo, oo-oo, oo-oo
Such a night

Separate Ways

Elvis Presley
E Emaj7
I see a change is come in to our lives
E7 A
It's not the same as it used to be
F#m B7
And it's not too late to realise our mistake
F#m F#m7/B B A E
We're just not right for each o---ther

E Emaj7
Love has slipped away and left us only friends
E7 A
We almost seem like strangers
F#m E
All that's left between us are the memories we shared
F#m7/B B A E
Of the times we thought we cared for each o---ther

E Emaj7
Now there's nothing left to do but go our separate ways
E7 A
And pick up all the pieces left behind us
F#m E
And maybe someday, somewhere along the way
F#m7/B B7 A E C#7 B7 F#m7 B7
Another love will find us

Some day when she's older, maybe she will understand
Why her mom and dad are not together
The tears that she will cry when
I have to say goodbye
Will tear at my heart forever

There's nothing left to do but go our separate ways
And pick up all the pieces left behind us
And maybe someday, somewhere along the way
Another love will find us

See see rider

Elvis Presley
        A
I said see, see, see rider
A7
Oh, see what you have done
D
I said see, see, see rider
A
Oh, see what you have done
E
Oh girl, you made me love you
D (hold) A
Now, now, now your lovin' man has gone

hear what I say

Well, I'm going away, baby
And I won't be back to fall
Well, I'm going away baby
And I won't be back to fall
And if I find me a good girl
I won't, I won't be back at all

Hear what I say, I said

See see rider,
Oh see what you have done
Yeah, yeah, yeah
